David M. Pugh

David “Ducky” has 20 years of experience and offers a diverse background in business management and Engineering within the Energy sector. He has extensive experience implementing technical and commercial processes and tools from the service sector, serving as a catalyst to increase the efficiency, reliability, and safety of upstream and midstream Energy operations.

His skills have transformed several service companies by focusing them on providing key technologies and capabilities, addressing several unique challenges faced by the industry, and ultimately driving growth. David served as BlueFin’s Chief Operating Officer for almost a decade, as President from 2016-2020, and as a Senior Advisor from 2020 through June of 2022. David managed BlueFin’s growth from 4 employees in 2007 to 175 employees by 2019.

David joined PDI in July of 2022 as Senior Vice-President and is responsible for Finance, Risk Management, Commercial and Strategy. David is an Alumni member of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, has completed several executive education programs at Harvard Business School, serves as a Junior High Football coach and several other volunteer initiatives in his community.
